PHASE 1
Discovery, Assessment and Feasibility
Through collaboration with our Engineering team, and utilizing your targeted equipment in our labs, we initiate and review your product specifications, applications, use cases and business requirements. In concert with the engineering work, the business team will evaluate the scope of your market, manufacturing requirements, product volume and required schedules. We then evaluate the feasibility and application of the appropriate OhmIQ platform, model a potential solution and present the data and license value proposition back to your team for project approval. This is where the licensing process starts.
PHASE 2
Platform Integration
Once a solution and platform are modeled and validated, OhmIQ works with your engineering team to integrate the selected platform into the target equipment. This will involve elements of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical integration and test. This results in the creation a working model and “Proof of Concept”(POC)prototype for test, validation and final design. This data driven process is highly collaborative and iterated through joint meetings with your team. We will also assist in developing a manufacturing plan which may range from building the licensed heaters in your own factory, to sourcing it a s a component from one of our Authorized Manufacturers / Distributors (AMD’s). This service generally requires a fee which may be credited towards future license payments, depending on product volume.

PHASE 3
Implementation and Account Management
When the heater design and license agreement is finalized, OhmIQ will provide physical samples, engineering documentation, assembly documentation, approved vendor list (AVL), business terms and audit requirements. Whether you select to procure from one of our AMD’s, or build in house, we will assist in determining the manufacturing and assembly process and assure a high state of readiness for volume manufacturing. Once manufacturing begins, we will provide on-going support and will conduct periodic audits for quality and compliance to license terms. License payments generally commence upon the initial manufacture and shipment of product.

STEP
Scaling – OhmIQ eliminates the effects of scaling because we do not use resistance heating elements which cause most scale. We use the liquid being heated as the conductor and apply electricity in a very specific way to stimulate water molecules and generate heat.
Time – Because we are not relying on a heat transfer from a hot element to the liquid being heated, our time to temperature is faster through direct heating.
Efficiency – Because we do not experience the efficiency losses caused by scaling, coupled with the direct heating technology we use, we are more efficient than resistance heaters.
Precision - By utilizing our patented Ohmic Array Technology (OAT), we electronically control the temperature of the liquid being heated with adjustments made 60 times per second. This allows a high degree of precision to deliver exactly what the application needs, when it needs it.
All of these benefits are available in a heater that is a fraction of the size of conventional boilers, a similar cost to conventional boilers and maintenance free (no scaling).
